Sensory Explorers

We’re delighted to host Sensory Explorers, an initiative founded by Rebecca McDermott, bringing inclusive sensory play sessions to Playzone every Tuesday.

These relaxed and welcoming sessions are specially designed for toddlers and young children, with a particular focus on neurodivergent children and their siblings. Each class provides a safe, supportive space where little ones can explore, play, and build confidence at their own pace.

What to Expect

Every week features a new and exciting theme, with a variety of hands-on sensory activities including:

  • Themed sensory tuff trays

  • Arts and crafts

  • STEM play

  • Magna-Tiles, Lego & Duplo building

  • Movement and gross motor play

  • Ball pits, bean bags and sensory equipment

The environment is calm, inclusive and thoughtfully set up to allow children to explore different textures, develop motor skills, and engage in imaginative play in a fun and stimulating way.

When

Every Tuesday | 11am – 12pm

Sensory Explorers is all about being serious about fun — creating meaningful play experiences in a supportive setting for both children and parents.
